informed by Planned Cover, together with the NSW Institute of Architects, invites you attend a seminar presented by the recently appointed NSW Building Commissioner – David Chandler.

As Building Commissioner, David’s role is to provide strategic oversight of building regulation and regulatory changes as well as being an advocate for building industry reform. In this seminar, David will share his thoughts on the future of the architecture profession:

  • what kind of architects will be in demand in a modern construction industry?
  • is the ‘architect-centric’ project model outdated?
  • what new skills and knowledge will architects of the future require to be relevant to the building process?

Following David’s presentation, there will be an opportunity for audience questions.

Following completion of this seminar you will have an understanding of the role architects will play in an evolving construction industry and what skills and knowledge architects will need to acquire to maintain their relevancy in the building process.
