16/07/2020 – Webinar: Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020 (NSW)

In early June, the Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020 passed both Houses of the NSW Parliament. The Act forms part of the NSW Government’s response to the Shergold Weir report and the new requirements which it introduces will impact many consultants working in the design and building sector in New South Wales.

Join us for our next webinar to hear from Lander & Rogers solicitors, Dearne Wellington and Elizabeth Berwick as they explain the key features of the Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020 and consider the impact of the introduction of this legislation on consultants working in the construction industry. Amongst other things, Dearne and Elizabeth will discuss the increased regulation and compliance obligations on design and building practitioners under the legislation and the introduction of a statutory duty of care, which has already generated much discussion within the construction industry.
